My Why

After 25 years as a teacher, tutor, counselor, mother and friend, I saw the same story play out again and again: incredible, hardworking students struggling to show their unique spark on paper.

And I saw their families, who were trying to guide them but felt lost in a sea of "noise"—conflicting advice, endless rankings, and social media pressure. This cloud of anxiety was overshadowing what should be an exciting time for them.

My "why" is simple: I believe the college process shouldn't be a stressful chore. It should be an exciting journey of self-discovery. I love helping students find their voice, discover their own unique strengths, and build an application that tells their authentic story.

My goal is to help your student find the "best-fit" environment where they will thrive. I feel blessed every day to help families turn that noise and anxiety into confidence and clarity.

My "why" for test prep is to demystify the test and transform that anxiety into mastery.

We work to turn that feeling of "I can't" into "I can" by equipping them with efficient, targeted strategies—focusing on quality over quantity—and building their skills. We're building the lasting confidence that comes from conquering a difficult challenge. By doing this, we turn the test into a tool that opens doors—allowing their authentic story to shine even brighter.

"Sandy, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! No words can express the positive emotions we felt after our meeting with you. You got to know our daughter so well and your presentation and proposed plan for her not only eliminated our anxiety about the college process, but also got us all excited about the process moving forward. I haven't seen her smile so big for a long time."
"Sandy, Thank you SO much for EVERYTHING (my Best Fit List, SAT prep, my many essays...) I got in Stanford!!! I am so happy and grateful to you. I could never have done it without your help."

"Sandy. Just a quick note to let you know how much we appreciate the work you have done with our son. Other than by us (which doesn't count) he has never been told he is smart before... But I think you have been able to show him the difference it makes. Thank you and have a great weekend."
"She has learned SO MUCH from you and truly values your guidance. Thank you so much for those sweet words, as well as for helping make an overwhelming time in her life not be so scary. 😍"
